The tower has 8 bells with a tenor of 14cwt in F.   The front two bells were cast in 1897 by John Warner & Sons of London. The back six were cast in 1699 by William Eldridge I & II of Chertsey. The six William Eldridge bells are listed for preservation. The bells were re-hung in 1936 and fitted with ball bearings. There is a first floor ring with an interesting rope circle and several odd struck bells. Click below to hear the bells (Wav file):- IMPORTANT - Don't forget to disable the chime before ringing.
Do this by turning off the switch below the clock (the display to the left will then go blank).
Don't forget to turn the switch back on again when you have finished.
